On Saturday, March 21, 2020, Virgilio Cruz, husband and loving father of two children, passed away at age 83.

Virgilio was born on July 20, 1936 inborn in Angat,Bulacan,Philippines to Francisco and Filomena Cruz. On June 1, 1969, he married Priscila Santos Cruz. They raised two children, Virgilio Jr and Janice. He immigrated to the United States in 1975, working at the Federal Reserve Bank until his retirement.

Virgilio had a passion for The Chicago Cubs and fishing. His goal was to see his daughter graduate from college, retiring after she received her degree. He enjoyed spending time with good friends with a good drink in his hand to toast with.

Virgilio was preceded in death by his father, Francisco, his mother, Filomena, and his son Virgilio, Jr. He is survived by his wife Priscila, his daughter Janice (Daniel) Knuckey and his three granddaughters, Samantha, Norah and Vivian.

He will have a private service and burial, and a memorial mass celebrating his life will be held in the coming months.
