Steve was born June 22, 1945 in New Orleans, LA. Died August 3, 2018 at Glen Elston
Nursing Center, Chicago, IL. Steve graduated from McLeansboro Township High School Class of 1963 and attended
ISU in Bloomington, Normal, IL. He served 4 years in the US Navy, three of those served in Viet Nam.

Steve lived in Chicago from the time of his discharge from the Navy. He was a realtor there for
Several years at Lakeview Realty.

He was the son of John & Susan (deceased) Kaufman. Brother to Karl (Roseann), John (deceased) and Robert. Uncle to several nieces & nephews.

Steve was active in the VFW, Viet Now & Kiwanis. He loved the theater & especially
Loved his dogs.

There will be a Memorial Mass at St Benedict, 2515 W Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618 on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. His ashes will be interned at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421
On Thursday October 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Navy Honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kindred Care Hospice, 800 Enterprise Drive, Suite 111, Oak Brook, IL 60523 or Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club, 2501 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618 to be put towards a scholarship fund in Steve's name.
