Patricia Ann Whicher, nee Gordon, known to friends as "Pat," passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at age 88. She was born on June 24, 1930. Pat was preceded in death by her son, Eric Whicher; her siblings Justin Gordon, Bob Gordon and Marie Hoff. She is survived by her children Brenda Whicher, Kurt Whicher; Elaine Bridge, Anita Whicher, Donna (Kenny Miller) Whicher, and Lois Rice; her sister, Joan Gordon; and her grandchild, Danielle Bridge.Pat was born in Chicago, lived in Michigan and Washington D.C, and returned to Chicago where she raised her children. Upon retirement from her job with the National Association of Realtors, Pat spent 16 years living in Maui. She had an active social life and experienced many adventures. Pat was known for her ready smile, sense of humor, and enduring optimism. She loved playing Mah Jong and Scrabble, especially when she won. In 2012, she returned to Chicago, where she spent the last years of her life. She cherished her many friends there and in Maui. Pat's family is grateful to the skilled and compassionate caregivers at Little Sisters of the Poor. They embraced her in the last months of her life.
