Margaret Mary (Schulien) Mickey

December 24, 1925 – January 15, 2021

Marge Mickey (95) passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 15 ^th .  Marge was a true Chicagoan who grew up living above and working in the family business, Schulien's Restaurant .  It was there that she met her husband, John Z. Mickey and learned not only card tricks from her famous father, Matt, but the true magic of life; being thankful for what you have, giving back and being kind to people.   With her family, she resided in Edison Park for 65 years and was a firm believer in serving the community. After raising her four children, Marge reentered the work force and had a long successful career with the City of Chicago initially with the CAPS program and later with The Mayor's Office of Inquiry and Information.

She loved to play cribbage and delighted when she could "skunk" you and move some of your money into her coin purse.  One of her favorite expressions was "remember, you can't beat fun".  Always finding the positive and wanting to please, she was a true delight to be around.  She was loved by many and her memory will live on through her family and those whose hearts she touched."

Marge is survived by her four children; John Mickey Jr. (Susanne), Anne Mickey, Kate Porter (David) and David Mickey (Barb) and her two grandchildren Ben and Sam.
