Maddalena Guagliardo, 99, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past eight years, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 in Cape Coral. Maddalena was born March 26, 1920 in Roccapalumba, Sicily to Francesco Guardi and Antonina Rizzo, now deceased, She was sister to Antonino Guardi (deceased), Graziela Guardi (deceased), Angelo Guardi (deceased), Giusepina (Guido Brogi) and Adela (Audace Calandrino).

Maddalena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pietro Guagliardo.

Maddalena was of the Catholic faith. She was a devoted wife and mother who demonstrated unconditional love. She was a caregiver to an ill husband most her married life. She worked as a seamstress for Hart, Schaffner and Marx. She was affectionate, caring and fun to all her family and friends. She was a tower of strength and goodness. She lived a long life and now she can Rest In Peace free from the stuggles with life and anguish.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Antoinette Sanchez (Claudio) of Cape Coral; her granddaughter Angela (Michael Huber) and great grandchildren, Ashley, Gabrielle, Thomas and Michael, and by her grandson, Raymond (Nadiah) Sanchez, and greatgrandchildren, Alexah, Kylie and Cole. Maddalena was also a stepgrandmother to Karen Karkoska, Margaret Dugan, Darlene Romano and John Guagliardo. Maddalena was a beloved aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.
