Jennifer Koch, age 73 of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully in her home on June 29, 2022 with her husband and children by her side. She was born in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago on March 31, 1949 to Andrew James and Edna Mae Petersen, nee McClanahan. Jennifer was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Michael Koch, for 42 years; beloved mother to Bryan (Liz) Berg, Anne-Marie Pearson, nee Berg, Noel Christine Koch, Stephanie Koch (Jorge Flores-Sanchez) and Joseph (Elizabeth) Koch; proud grandmother to Carson, Taylor, Tristan, Bradon, Emilly, Aiden, Brian and Michael Aloysius and great grandmother to Jayden, Jackson and Francis. She was a dear sister to Andrea Sue Tessler, beloved aunt to her niece and nephews, and lifelong friend to Carin Lugo. Jennifer was a beautiful and talented writer, dancer, poet, artist and voracious reader who loved poetry, fiction, non-fiction, biographies and an avid fan of Stephen King. Her love and strength will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Edna Mae, her sister Andrea Sue and her eldest son Bryan.
