Helene Marie Wieland, nee Stoudt, 86, passed away Feb. 20, 2022, in Chicago.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Joseph, and her son Joseph Jr.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Helen Erbach Stoudt Dobson, and William Stoudt.  She was a 78-year member of St. Benedict's parish, where she sang in the choir for many years.  Her late grandparents, Andrew and Helen Erbach, were among the founding members of St. Benedict's parish.  Helene was a graduate of St. Benedict's School and Immaculata High School.  Helene is survived by the following cousins:  Donald Erbach, James (MaryAnn) Erbach, Irene (the late Bruce) Hanson, Gregor (Rosemary) Buss, Saren (Charlie) Thorne-Hauser, Edgar (Kim) Buss, and Mary Ellen Andreotta.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law Kathleen (the late John) Wieland, Helen (the late Joseph) Machado, & Barbara (the late George) Magierski, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday lying in state 10:00 am till time of mass 11:00am at St Benedict Church 2215 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, Il. Interment St Boniface Cemetery.
