It is with great sadness that the family of Ernest Held, of Chicago Illinois, announces his passing after a brief illness on March 20, in Palm Springs, California. He was 86 years old.
Ernie will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 30 years, many nieces and nephews along with their children, and an entire community of friends and colleagues. Ernie was the proud owner of the Held Travel Bureau with over 65 years of history and was a lifelong and active member of various travel industry associations and consortiums including ASTA and MAST.
A celebration of Ernie's life will be held on April 8, between 2 PM and 3 PM at Grein Funeral Directors located at 2114 W Irving Park Road in Chicago.
