Ellen Mary Twohig nee:Green, 56, passed away at home after an unexpected illness. Ellen was born on March 15, 1970 in Napoleon, Ohio to John and Hilda (nee Watchmann) Green.

Ellen graduated from Napoleon High School and went to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She was a theatrical major at Stephens College and had several leads in musicals and plays.

Ellen moved to Chicago where she met the love of her life Brian, they were married in 1996 and had two boys Samuel and Joseph. The boys attended Pilgrim Lutheran School which led Ellen to take an active role at the school and church.

She was a longtime and deeply valued member of the Pilgrim community. Ellen gave generously with her time as operations manager at Pilgrim School, she also sat on the board of education and was a member of the Stewardship Committee. Ellen had a beautiful voice and sang with the choir at Pilgrim. She has touched so many at Pilgrim with her presence, dedication and love. She will be deeply missed by everyone.

Ellen is survived by her siblings Beth Middleton nee:green and Peter (Nicole) Green; daughter in law to Patrick and Gloria nee:Fleischman Twohig; sister in law to Patrick J. Twohig, Timothy (Beth) Twohig, Kelly Twohig, Erin (Brian) Obert and Katherine (Adam Ochsenschlaeger) Twohig.

Preceded in death by her parents John and Hilda Green, her brothers John and David and brother in law Tom Bell.

Ellen was an avid reader and was a part of a couple of book clubs. she also loved to play the piano, sing and walking the family dog Ellie.

 Services will be held on September 13th at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with a memorial gathering starting at 1:00 pm and a service starting at 2:00pm.
