Elizabeth Tofilo, 74, of North Park, Chicago, died December 26, 2021 after a courageous fight with breast cancer. Elizabeth was the middle child of Henry and Kunegunda. Elizabeth was a strong person who always spoke her mind and was able to fight and advocate for herself right up until the day that she passed away. She was known by many as a good friend and always made people laugh with her colorful language. Elizabeth was a great cook and often experimented with different cuisines. She also spent hours volunteering at the library. And, before she got ill, you would likely run into her at Lincolnwood Town Center or Old Orchard Mall because she loved to shop. One of her favorite trips was to Edinburgh, Scotland. She was also an avid dog lover and enjoyed dog sitting and visiting with dogs. Elizabeth is survived by her older brother Andrew, her younger sister Bozena, her sons Mark and Darek and three grandchildren, Jose, Joshua and Miah. Elizabeth was a parishioner at St. Ita Catholic Church in Chicago and will be inurned at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL. Per Elizabeth's wishes, there will be no wake and a private family gathering.
