Edward Harold Hard, Age 94 of Chicago was born January 28,1932, and passed away March 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Marcia Hard for over 70 years.

He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Louise Hard and his brother Norman Hard.  He was a loving and devoted father to his daughters Leslie Menarik and Carole (Andrius) Mikonis. Later, he became an adoring grandfather to Robert, Rebecca, Richard, and Raymond Menarik.  He was the great-grandfather of Liezer Menarik. He is also survived by many cousins.

Edward worked to help support his family at age 12 after his father became ill. He served in the Army for two years during the Korean War, mostly on the island of Okinawa. As a CPA and MBA, he had a long career in banking at Continental Bank for 40 years culminating in him being a Vice President of Operations. There, he became a mentor and friend to many. Edward was a generous and kind person who took care of his family and also his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed gardening, long walks, and spending time working on his cars.

He was a positive person even going through extreme hardship for many years and never complained. We will miss him, but he is at peace with his savior.
