Barbara Velasquez passed away quietly at Lutheran General Hospital on April 11th, 2021 at the age of 60. Her parents, Mary and Robert, brothers, Henry and Walter, and daughter Mary preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Dianne Floyd, children Eric (Susie) Velasquez, Ashley and Cody Wade, and grandchildren Laila, Eric, Mary and Henry Velasquez and Isabella Wade. Barbara was known for her incredible sense of humor and generous and caring nature. She demonstrated her empathetic heart as she cared for her mother at the end of her life while still caring for her own family. Barbara had an eye for sales and taught her children and grandchildren the value of a bargain. She made an impression on all of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
