It is with sadness and love that we mourn the passing of Adeline Koren of Chicago, IL on
August 16, 2022 at the age of 102.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Nancy Erickson (Richard), and Barbara
Koren (Paul), grandchildren Jeff Erickson (Nan) and Heather Geon (David), and greatgrandchildren Katie, Emily, Jerry and Henry.
Adeline grew up in Cicero, IL and graduated from Morton High School where she met the great
love of her life, Edward. She and Ed, who predeceased her in 1996, were married 55 years
living mostly in LaGrange, IL and later in Naperville, IL. They loved dancing and riding their
tandem bike together. Addie and Ed also loved to travel and visited Europe, South America,
and Asia. They enjoyed trips in their motor home with their beloved grandchildren before
retiring near Tampa, Fl. Always together and always deeply in love, Adeline liked nothing better
than making "her Eddie" laugh.
Adeline was a talented and fashionable sewer, a creative crafter, and spent many happy days
jogging with friends at the LaGrange YMCA. With her natural beauty and spunky personality,
she lit up any room she entered and was frequently the center of attention at any gathering.
Adeline will be greatly missed but long remembered for her sense of humor, her contagious
positive spirit, her sense of personal style, and her zest for living every day to the fullest
